towards the mouth of her white cave.
A fox feeds the hungry girl with fresh lamb’s blood.

A solo exhibition by visual artist and musician ANOHNI marks the concluding chapter of REBIRTH, a biennial program conceived and developed with nonlineare, independent curatorial initiative.
Unlike previous REBIRTH projects, the installation Jesus as a Girl is imagined as a total takeover by the artist. In this iteration, the curatorial team makes way for a more personal perspective, affording her the necessary space for independent directions that branch off from the program’s core research path.
Initiated by Fondazione Made in Cloister, the program explores the relationship between contemporary artistic practices, community, and cultural production in direct dialogue with the sixteenth-century cloister of the Church of Santa Caterina a Formiello—a symbolic site of transformation and urban regeneration.
