ART4SPACE by Invader

For over fifteen years, the French street artist Invader has been invading the capitals of half the world with his works of street art, mosaics that he installs in the street, re-enacting the characters of the famous video game Space Invader.
In 2012 he decided to take a further step which he tells in a documentary on the Space One project, the first site specific work created for the stratosphere.
The work was launched from Miami just south of the Space Coast from which NASA makes its launches.

Duration 25 minutes in English with Italian subtitles
Free admission, booking option for My Cloister Card holders.

Naples is increasingly Slow!
Slow Wine is about to present its ninth edition in Naples with an exceptional company: the Guide to Italian Beers.
The best of Campania and wine and brewing Basilicata, awarded by the two guides, will meet  at the Made in Cloister Foundation.

The tasting itinerary, which will follow the presentation of the two guides in the presence of the national curators and regional coordinators, will be accompanied by delicious culinary forays by the Slow Food Chefs and Pizza Makers of Campania and Basilicata.

 

LE CENERI DI PASOLINI

Alfredo Jaar, artista, architetto e filmaker cileno, ha reso omaggio a Pier Paolo Pasolini con un magnifico cortometraggio di 35 minuti realizzato in occasione della Biennale di Venezia del 2009 per The Fear Society - Pavellon de la Urgencia. 

Il tema dell'opera è la consapevolezza che l'arte non sfugge al coinvolgimento con politica e etica, tema centrale nella ricerca dell'artista. Il titolo del corto rende omaggio all'opera di Pasolini "Le ceneri di Gramsci".

Ingresso gratuito, possibilità di prenotazione per i possessori di My Cloister Card.

HEART OF A DOG 2015

The movie from 2015 is directed by Laurie Anderson and represents a stream of consciousness in which the artist mixed past and present, dream and reality to realize a sort of confession.

Revealing the topic of the exhibition from 2016 The Withness of the Body, realized for our Foundation.

Starting from her dog ,Lolabelle, death Laurie Anderson gives birth to an inner story about life and death.

BASQUIAT 1996

"Basquiat" is a movie from 1996, directed by the artist Julien Schanbel. The movie is based on the real life of the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, the most famous street artist from the New York scene of the '80s and dead at the age of 27. 

Exceptional the interpretations of some of the supporting actores like David Bowie as Andy Warhol and Curtney Love as Big Pink.

Art Talk

During the opening to the public of Monumenti, the artist Liu Jianhua meets the italian artist Nicola Samorì, in a talk moderated by the curator and art critic Demetrio Paparoni.

Samorì is one of the most important italian artist, painter and sculptor, he concentrates his work on topic from italian classic art, especially Reinassance.

CHELSEA GIRL 1966

Chelsea Girl is an underground and experimental movie from 1966 directed by Andy Warhol. It represents the first commercial success of the artist as a filmmaker.  The movie was entirely shooted at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan that suggested the title of the first solo album by Nico, who is also in the movie. 

The narration technique is random which was already experimented in other movies by Warhol, editing visions, fragments and everyday life scenes.
